pratfallsofparenting.com: Theater Director Jeremy Cohen talks about the work of being the Producing Artistic Director at the Playwrights Center and how much that role differs from being the Executive Director at an organization but also from being a regular Artistic Director. Jeremy talks about the work of building community and supporting work at organizations beyond his own.
Plus, Jeremy talks about the difference between a new play and putting a new take on an old play.

Jeremy addresses one the most worrying things for me as I think about graduating from school and entering into the business further and determining where I may want to go/work, while balancing eventually having a family. I have always wanted to tour with a play/musical or a musical group, however things like that become difficult for women as they may have to take time off during the pregnancy and I don't think that I would want to be on tour while being pregnant. I didn't listen to the entire recording, but it was interesting.
