City Theatre's 'Little Gem': Three generations of grit and humor
TribLIVE: Director Kimberly Senior believes the title of the play — “Little Gem” — says it all.
“It's a little gem of a play that keeps surprising me,” says Senior, who is directing the production that plays through May 5 in City Theatre's Hamburg Studio on the South Side.
Irish playwright Elaine Murphy's comedy threads together the narratives in which three women, united by birth — a daughter, her mother and her grandmother — relate the events in their lives during one significant year.
