Court ruling may have implications for theatre owners, managers and producers
The Law Offices of Gordon P. Firemark: "The Case of Feldman v. Pro Football, Inc. __ F.3d __, Nos. 09-1021, 09-1023, decided on March 25th, 2011 isn’t, strictly speaking, an entertainment law case, but it could have implications for clients in the theatre business, who struggle with decisions about how to accommodate patrons with disabilities.

While this refers to a case regarding a sports stadium, the day will come when theatres are held to more stringent standards about providing additional aid to hearing or seeing impaired persons. I've seen sign language translators at theatrical and concert events before, but those are often only at select performances and likely do not get close to the same experience. Some quick googling revealed a device made by Sound Associates that provides live closed-captioning for theatre and other events: http://www.soundassociates.com/products/icaption/
