'Black theater is for everyone'

News & Observer: "The National Black Theatre Festival begins its 20th anniversary Monday in Winston-Salem. More than 100 performances and a keynote address by poet Maya Angelou are expected to attract an estimated 60,000 people to the biannual, weeklong event.
'Nowhere else on the planet can you see over 100 shows in six days,' executive director Gerry Patton said."
