Union rejects Bloomberg's bid to mediate stagehand strike
NY Daily News: "Picketing stagehands have told Mayor Bloomberg, 'Thanks, but no thanks' to an offer to mediate the crippling Broadway strike as it enters its third day. 'He could not be more of a gentleman, but we have respectfully declined his help,' James Claffey, president of Local One, said yesterday of Hizzoner's rebuffed plan for a powwow."

Sorry Bloomberg, nice try. If only things were that easy. It just goes to show how anxious absolutely everyone is to see this end, and I definitely support his decision to attempt a peaceful negotiations talk.
I also like that quote that kind of tells it like it is, describing both sides as having serious issues, and explaining that we shouldn't be too quick to feel sorry for the "little guys" here.
Oh, and I'm sorry, but you can't think of anything else to do in NYC besides see Spring Awakening? How sad is that?
