Live from New York, intimately
chicagotribune.com: "About 150 audience members in a tiny Manhattan theater were the only folks in the world to witness a totally new 'Saturday Night Live' episode starring guest host Michael Cera and musical guest Yo La Tengo. Anyone who tuned in to NBC saw a 2-week-old rerun featuring Brian Williams and Feist, thanks to a writers strike."

I always find it interesting to see how art comes out of strife. When watching SNL, it's clear to me that all of the cast members love performing and have so much fun with it. It seems like an interesting show to write for as well. And despite the writers' strike, they still got together to create a fun performance. I just hope they got a share of those profits.
I agree with Varsenik, especially in the fact that the actors pulled SOMETHING together because they love what they do. It's amazing to me when things like this happen and it seems to stop everyone dead in their tracks. You really begin to see the passion in people when they find a way to express themselves regardless of what the environment around them is like. I think that preserving the show regardless of the writer's strike is really awesome. Kudos, SNL, kudos.
