Despite the fact that this seems like a random, waste of time, you have to admire the detail and dedication with the project. There's great attention to detail and it wasn't done half ass. I wish I had their mad skills, then maybe I'd be getting As in Tsu's class. Seriously though, these guys are great designers. Just look at the costumes they made to go with their float!
It was an impressive feet. The Jabba must have taken tremendous time and dedication to make it that authentic. To see it actually in use was pretty cool as well. I appreciated the video to display its use.
Next Susan Tsu Project? This is really creative and intuintive. I can't even fathom how they designed and constructed this it seems like a long process. Maybe in the next four years while we're here we'll have to create a huge puppet like this then we will have to dig up this article. It's really uprising to me that people would just do this by choice not for any reason. Imagine what they could have done if they were getting paid to make it. This also looks like something Boevers would make pre college kids do. It reminded me of those giant dinosaur things.
Star Wars fans have always struck me as being extraordinarily dedicated to creating for the sake of creating. While I can't find the article right now, there was a group of 3 guys who built a life-size replica of an X-wing that they are actually planning to launch (un-manned)into space. I don't think they'll succeed, but man is it an interesting hobby.
This is the kind of project where if someone told you about it, you would at first be hugely overwhelmed and then get really into it and love the entire experience
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This could totally be an Oswald project for next year. Except I think it should be a massive Dick Block puppet.
Many people are obsessed, very interested, in star wars. I am a fan, but not a fanatic. This is a good example of something that may have to be made for the stage/movies. Although the project looks great, I highly doubt it will be used for any special stage appearances, except You Tube.
