I think that it is very true that the web is already starting to gain influence as an entertainment media. I would imagine that a strike on television could only enhance that influence. Just from not having access to a tv here at school, I have already begun to turn to the web to watch tv and movies. When the only thing on tv is reruns, I can imagine that moe people will start exploring more options, and the web already seems to be the answer.
