Questionable Language

New York Times: "EARLY in “The Gingerbread Lady,” Neil Simon’s dark comedy about a singer trying hard to stay on the wagon, the lead character says: “I don’t see any men out there. Little boys, fags, hippies, but no men.” In 1970 when the play was first produced, that epithet for gay men might not have raised eyebrows, but what about today?"
