lifehack.org: "Myth: Getting organized requires so much time that you won’t be productive while getting organized. There’s too much to do to bother getting organized.
Reality: Looks can be deceiving. The project might be substantial but you can do it! As the Question goes, “How do you eat an elephant?” Answer, “One bite at a time.”"

This article is so true. I know too many people who leave things until the organizing project gets out of hand and then they don't have the time to devote a whole day (or multiple days). It is a great thing to learn to tackle certain areas at a time. When I was little I used to make grid marks in the carpet in my room and clean one "square" at a time. I think I'm an extreme case though.....I compulsively clean.
I agree with this article as well. Things pile up so fast in front of you that before you know it, 5 minutes worth of work has turned into 5 days. I also think that reward is a very motivational idea. By having something to look forward to, you are motivated to make things go a lot faster. Also by breaking things into smaller chunks, it gives the illusion that time passes faster which is much more appealing.
