PRG Acquires High Performance Images
Lighting&Sound America Online - News: "'HPI's resources and expertise in high-end video staging solutions adds depth and breadth to our video division and gives us a greatly enhanced presence in the Chicago video market,' said Kevin Baxley, PRG's co-president and chief operating officer. 'It will greatly enhance our ability to offer our clients the complete package of PRG equipment and services - video, lighting, audio and scenic - as well as the start-to-finish production management that so many customers are looking for today.'"

And here again we have another company being bought out by PRG. The “merges” they have are usually in the best interest of their client, but it makes me a bit concerned for the future of other production companies. So many find it hard to survive when they have to compete with PRG all the time, even when they have a relatively strong connection within their own community. It makes me wonder what the future of production companies will become, and who will be able to even come close to the level PRG is at.
