The Coast of Utopia - Incidental Music

New York Times: "Mark Bennett, the composer of the incidental music and soundscapes for Tom Stoppard’s sprawling trilogy, “The Coast of Utopia,” was introduced to Jack O’Brien, the director of the production, about a year before “Voyage,” the first of the three plays, opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. At that initial meeting, Mr. O’Brien, emphasizing the important function music would have in connecting scenes and conveying mood, laid out a challenge to Mr. Bennett."
