It's not as easy as it sounds. I do most of the things on the list, but the desk in my dorm still looks like the one in the picture. My corner in 33 is somewhat organized. At least I know where everything is, even if it doesn't look like I would.
I definitely need to work on keeping my desk clean. It can become a mess in no time at all. I can try to organize it, but within one sitting it gets destroyed. I need to take care of messes as they come, rather than waiting until later. That way my desk will at least stay moderately clean and when I need to organize it will be much easier. Hopefully following some of these tips will help in the process.
i am going to be honest, these ideas do not work for me at all. i have tried these tactics before and ended up not being able to remember where i had placed things. these are really only applicable to some people, and i am certainly not one of them.
I think the key is to keep clean as you go along. This applies to more than just my desk, but can go so far as to apply to my entire room. Simple steps such as hanging up clothes when you are done with them can make things so much easier later on. Things can pile up so fast, you have to be careful. I tend to be a very cluttered person, but I find that when I neaten up, I feel less stressed.
