Rudeness Steals the Show

Orlando Sentinel: "How many audience members does it take to change a light bulb?

Three. One audience member to do it, one baby to cry while it's being done and a third person to whisper loudly, 'Rose, he's changing the light bulb.'

If you've been to the theater lately, that joke might make you laugh.

If you've been to the theater a lot lately, it might make you cry."

God save these people from ever working at a Renaissance Festival. If ringtones are getting to them, they would never be able to handle an audience which is supposed to enter and leave during the performance, eat in their seat, and talk with one another!

The invention of the proscenium brought the theatre going public from a community involved to a lone spectator. Theatre is much more fun when you see the guy across from you reacting/sleeping to the same play as you are watching. And while in America, going to the theatre is a very "civilized" event, in Europe, dont many people get drunk first?
