In the Cut: Salt action previsualization

SALT Previs: Freeway Chase from Joshua Frankel on Vimeo.

scanners: Thanks to Joshua Frankel, who worked closely with director Phillip Noyce and stunt coordinator/director Vic Armstrong on the animated storyboards for the sequence I examined in "In the Cut Part II: A Dash of Salt," for sending me his previsualization sequence.

This is a brilliant example of how computers can be used to plan sequences and replace/ solve the major gaps of two dimensional storyboards. i began using google sketch-up for story-boarding a year or so ago and it works phenomenal , but this is the next level (well really like next twenty levels) the use of story-boarding tequniques are-crucial to capturing the right elements in cinema to tell your story, this is where the obstacles of CGI and other modern technologies can be solved using a new tequnique. I'm excited to see where this technology goes and how it can improve the preparation process in our industry
