Alloy-Kelly Strayhorn merger called 'a good fit'

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Leaders of The Kelly-Strayhorn Theater and Dance Alloy Theater expressed confidence at a reception on Wednesday evening that the merger of their organizations would be beneficial for the dance scene. But they said the Alloy's performances are on "hiatus." Contracts for artistic director Greer Reed and the dancers expired on June 30, the end of the Alloy's fiscal year, and were not renewed. Members of the administrative staff also lost their jobs.
