These are amazing! Ok obviously an individual would have a really hard time trying to this themselves. But I dont think that that it the point. It is art, the work that these hairstylists have done is quite astounding. They really are works of art in my opinion. And in all seriousness for most high end fashion shows, most of the outfits would never ever be wearable by a normal person, or at least a person with an sense of practicality. Regardless they really cool and must have be fun to show off and make

These. Are. Surreal. I feel that often times the beauty makeup and hair industry is often undercut in a way that makes it seem forever inferior to other creative fields, but this proves everything wrong: these designs can function as sculptures themselves! I am fascinated with large, extravagant hair, and taming, weaving, sculpting it in a way to defy gravity and actually portray an emotion/ visual aesthetic-- It takes a lot of skill to manage that much thin, tricky material! I surely would not be willing to spend hours on my hair, manipulating it in such a beautiful way, but if I could, I would love too- maybe in an alternate universe full of people with fellow eccentric hairstyles and wacky head garb!

Although these hairstyles are visually stunning, I am never truly awed by hairstyles because the bigger the hair, the most because are drawn to it. It's similar to the many areas of design but particularly with hair, people see the larger scale hairdos to be the show stoppers while other pieces, such a the smaller braided hairdo photographed, is less impressive in comparison. Also, hair is so temporary that I find it to be such a silly form of art. I couldn't help but think of the fabulous mocumentary "The BIg Tease" when looking at these pictures and it reminded me of how serious some of these people take themselves. Then again, do we all take our art too seriously?
