Seeing this article makes me so happy!! Tomé is one of the most caring professors I have ever had the pleasure of being taught by. He invited me to take his Jazz II class last semester because I missed dancing and I truly had an amazing experience. The time and care he puts into the students and the work every class is insane to watch. Hearing stories of Tomé’s career during class was a true delight because of the range of jobs he has had. Big or small, it’s so obvious how hard he worked no matter his position. I know every performer would agree with me when I say even though PT will come down hard on you, it always comes from a place of love. I wished more of his classes fit into my schedule because it changed my CMU experience for the better. This award is more than well deserved!
