'Fiddler on Roof' returning to Broadway in '15
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Teyve is coming back.
Producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel said Thursday that they will present a revival of "Fiddler on the Roof" -- one of the last great musicals of Broadway's Golden Age -- in the fall of 2015.
WHYYYYY?!?!?! I don't mind Fiddler, but it is so over done, and so many productions get it work. When are we going to start seeing new and innovative work on a Broadway stage? I understand that Broadway is part of the commercial world where the goal is to make money. However, can we at least try to put new stuff out there. If we keep putting up Fiddlers and Annies we will never have anything new and the theater world will look like it is dying to the rest of world. Lets be new and creative.
