This article is so interesting! it is shocking how quickly a show can fail on Broadway. Although people many times say Broadway is about money, not art, and they have a very good point, it is obvious that although a show that is financially successful may not be great to those looking for art, a show that is absolutely horrible artistically can indeed be shut down immediately upon opening as did so many of the shows in this article.I find it very interesting that a Sondheim musical has made its way to the top 5 biggest failures on broadway, but of course see nothing shocking about the infamous Carrie being on the list.
