Comedy clubs work to keep the laughs coming, despite sagging economy and competition from TV and internet

Post Gazette: "It's been said that laughter is the best medicine, and nowadays people could overdose from the steady supply of wit and wackiness the likes of YouTube and Comedy Central serve up around the clock. But with so much hilarity only a mouse or remote control click away, are fewer heading out to comedy clubs for their dose of humor?"

Living in the virtual era that enables people to download or simply youtube entertainment such as stand up comedy presents a huge issue especially in a time where people, given the current economic situation, may not be as willing to pay to go to a comedy club. But there are a lot of things a live audience and show affords people that the internet can't offer which is the experience. Furthermore, I think its a good choice for comedy clubs use the internet to their advantage by advertising and also, to be more selective in which comedians they are choosing so they can find the comedians who really draw a crowd,
