City Theatre's 'Shooting Star' explores rekindled relationships

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "An airport, says Laurie Klatscher, is purgatory with carpeting.
'It's not a real place. It's a place we're going through,' says Andrew May. who defines it as a place where interludes of anxiety punctuate long stretches of waiting.
Throw in a snowstorm that's causing delays, cancellations and missed connections, and it becomes the setting for Stephen Dietz's play 'Shooting Star,' in which Klatscher and May are appearing through May 16 at City Theatre on the South Side."

This show sounds pretty interesting, I like the quote about airports being purgatory with carpeting. Its funny how an airport can change from a sterile place you pass through to a place you can renew an old relationship once you stop long enough. I think this show explores how everyone can be a mess on the inside by juxtaposing the hippie character and the middle management suit and tie character. It just shows that you can't really tell what is going on inside of someone by the way they present themselves.
