Changes may benefit students and parents

Post Gazette: "When it comes to the changes in the student loan program signed into law by President Barack Obama last week, a key question for families is:
Will the changes save us money?"

I never have really understood how financial aid works, my parents have handled it for me so far. So while I don't know if this applies to me, it's nice to see that the change will help others. Education is so expensive these days and jobs are very limited for students to begin paying back loans or just to cover what isn't by the loans. Hopefully, this change helps many students continue with their goals to go or complete college.

As someone who does have to worry about all the financial aid stuff, I agree with Katherine, it is really great to see something changing. Especially for students going to Universities such as ours where the tuition is quite large, it's great to have some help. The reduction in the interest alone is going to save a good amount, let alone the decrease in time before the forgiveness kicks in.
