Dance Alloy Theater's new artistic director thrives on passion and dance

Post Gazette: "Dance without passion quickly reduces movement to uninspired activity. For Greer Reed-Jones, passion without dance is next to impossible. It is something that she experienced at her first dance lesson and it still drives the Penn Hills native as she begins a new journey as Dance Alloy Theater's artistic director."

Having a passionate director is something that's so important for maintaining a career in the dance world. throughout the seven years that I was in the dance program at my last school the same director was in charge. he wasn't that bad at first but he is getting to the age that definitely isn't healthy for him to be working the amount that he does anymore and it reflected onto my own experience as a dancer. at first I can't really say that I had to deal with him that much mostly because I was younger but also because he was a better director but as I got older he started to be harder to work with and it definitely contributed to me losing my passion for dance that I once had a very strongly. having to do with people that aren't exactly the sweetest in the Arts makes it hard to maintain that passion and motivation that needs to be had to pursue such a demanding activity
