Steve Martin Helps Oregon HS Troupe with Show
Backstage: "Steve Martin has offered to pay for an off-campus production of his play 'Picasso at the Lapin Agile,' which was banned from a high school because parents objected to what they called adult content."

I think this is a great answer to a dilemma that comes up more and more often as high schools try to put on more controversial shows. It seems as if all those involved will benefit from this situation, and the issue of wether the kids should be involved will be left up to the individual parents, but will not keep others from experiencing the play.
