Opera Theater chooses personal setting for Salieri opera
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Opera Theater presents Salieri's short competition opera, 'Prima la musica e poi le parole' ('First the Music and Then the Words') on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Henry P. Hoffstot house in Shadyside."

i think its cool that they choose different settings for their operas. It's nice to use what places already have, rather than have to build a whole set, which is what they are doing for Salieri. The stairs and main hall seem perfect! I'd be interested to see if they really do use NO set pieces of their own though.
It's interesting that this opera is using unique approaches to all of its theatrical aspects. The fact that it is set outdoors and that it was written in a different manner should prove for an interesting opera, and hopefully a good one.
