Director Mendes brings Shakespeare Tale to Asia
Reuters: "Acclaimed director Sam Mendes is bringing an all-star cast to Asia for the first time to stage Shakespeare's 'The Winter's Tale' in Singapore, as the global economic crisis makes untraditional venues attractive."

Clearly, the economic downturn, is in favor of the Arts in the case of Singapore. It kinda sucks that they have to resort to this, but at the same time, its good to bring a Western writer to the East the same way it's always good to see a play here by an Eastern writer.
