Playbill News: "Despite the snowstorm that is blanketing the New York metropolitan area, the few Broadway shows that offer Monday-night performances will go on as regularly scheduled."
I didn't even think about the fact that Broadway shows sometimes have to cancel because of snow. It is very cool that the shows stayed open through this blizzard. Kudos to them.
When Broadway tickets are this expensive, it will take more than a blizzard to hold me back attending. I just worry about the singer's voices. How do they take care of themselves?
Yeah, and do to the heat island, snow never really sticks in NYC unless its SUPER cold. Cold enough to freeze the pavement. With the constant traffic, that's unlikely at best. Been in NYC during a blizzard, was driving 'round fine -- as soon as you get out of the city and start hitting the major high ways, you can't move an inch. Totally weird.
