Eric Idle takes 'Spamalot' for a Vegas

Los Angeles Times - calendarlive.com: "I know upfront that I will have to cut 20 minutes from it. What F. Scott Fitzgerald said of American lives is definitely true of Vegas — there are no second acts. Partly this is because they want you back in the casino, and partly it's because they want you back in the casino. In fact, with our low ticket prices I figured out that you will actually save money if you spend 90 minutes in 'Spamalot.' And if you sleep during the show you can save on a room."

While it is always dissapointing to have a good show cut down, I think that Spamalot is the kind of show to do well in Las Vegas. Its just a fun show and I don't think the shortening of show will cause it any harm. it won't change anyones life, but its good fun.

I'm pretty sure I'd never see a Broadway show in Vegas. They just up the production value and ticket prices while cutting the actual content of the show in half. Cirque is so much more worth it.
