I think that this is a great idea and action that the producers are taking. I think that it is really admirable whenever a company pays it forward and gives some of their profit to a good organization. The water crisis is a very immediate problem and I think that were they considering donating money in general that this was a good choice. I would be interested in know if anyone of the team of Fiddler on the Roof has any direct ties to Michigan or if this was something that they thought they could just help out in general, because the story line of Fiddler on the Roof does not really have much to do with the water situation in Michigan. Of course, as any article associated with a Broadway show their was the long list of people who were Tony winners/nominees to publicize their company and reach out even further. Here's it is not necessary to say who is involved in the production but, as Broadway World does they need to credit everyone to have those names in there.

This situation in Flint is so unfortunate and I am so glad that Fiddler is using it’s success to help. Seeing undertakings like this is so encouraging and motivating for me because within my family giving back to your community and the world is incredibly important. My parents are live and teach in a community for disabled adults, my sister is working to become a doctor, and my brother recently got the chance to work with a group of prisoners and now is looking at becoming a social worker. To be completely honest, although theater is incredibly important to me and, I believe, to the world, sometimes my passion feels frivolous compared to work I could be doing. So when the theatrical community finds a way to produce wonderful shows and give back, if makes me realize that I can work on emphasizing those values and objectives even more and find a way to balance my passion for this art and my wish to change the world for the better.
