It's a Green Light: Immersive The Great Gatsby Finds Its Flappers
Playbill: Immersive Everywhere's interactive production of The Great Gatsby has found its Jay, Nick, Daisy, and Tom. Performances will begin June 2 ahead of a June 22 opening in Park Central Hotel New York. The hotel's 16,000-square-foot ballroom is being transformed into The Gatsby Mansion for the New York run, which follows seven years of sold-out performances in London.

I had seen this group perform at West End live recently, and was so interested in what exactly this experience is/wise. What are the things that signals to me is just how popular immersion entertainment is becoming. The great Gatsby has been a literary classic for years. However, for so many that doesn’t necessarily mean that they love the book. For some, it was simply a school assignment. So for me, reading this article, noting that this experience has been in London, for seven years, and has been sold out consistently. It truly shows how popular emotion and entertainment is. For so many, escapism in their imagination is not enough. Seeing a movie or reading a book is not enough. Now, we want to be in the world and interact as though we are characters in that story. You see this, not only with immersion entertainment, events, such as the great Gatsby and the Bridgerton experience. But even in theme parks. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and universal‘s Harry Potter land.
