Consumer Groups Slam CO Bill Enabling Ticket Abuse, Deception

www.ticketnews.com: The recent rejection of multiple consumer-friendly amendments to a Ticketmaster-backed bill in Colorado has drawn condemnation from a group of consumer rights organizations, who have urged that the bill be rejected in its current form. The Ticket Buyer Bill of Rights coalition slammed the decision by lawmakers to revert the bill to its original language, which they say gives “permission to Live Nation’s Ticketmaster and AEG’s AXS to deceive consumers when tickets go on sale, and to turn a blind eye to illegal software bots that scoop up tickets before humans can instead of reporting their usage to law enforcement.”

I have been to a decent amount of concerts and hate getting my tickets from Ticketmaster because the tickets are usually as expensive as their fees. So for the CEO to raise the prices even more in an attempt to tell consumers that they have it good enough is pathetic. Just trying to get a code for a concert was so difficult. Getting concert tickets shouldn't be this big ordeal that Ticketmaster and live nation make it out to be. Getting tickets to U2 and 5 Seconds of Summer took so long and the fees were insane and almost the same price as the ticket. I feel like this is a problem and should be handled like how the article mentioned. We all know how when Taylor Swift went on sale it literally broke the site and this isn't the first time there has been an issue with this. Especially considering how high profile this event is. It is irritating that nothing has been done.
