This article was very useful to me because I do have a sound engineer friend which I’ve yet to find a gift for the holidays. In an alternate avenue of thinking I find it quite interesting to see what may be useful to other department and interesting to see if there is any sort of overlap between the departments. There were lots of good ideas for sound engineers and the prices range varied widely in the article. I did find it strange that the customized wrapping paper was more expensive then some of the gift ideas. Some highlights for me was the LED shirt that adjusted sound “levels” that seemed fun and like something my friend would be interested in and the pocket sized device which played things like bass and drumbeats also seemed very cool and useful. It’s always good at this time of the year tohave ideas for gifts that come from somewhere besides your own head.
