I was initially drawn to this article because I didn’t recognize the name WIcreations. Granted, I don’t know many theatre and rigging companies, but I’ve never even heard this one appear in conversation before. After reading the article I’m impressed with WIcreation’s work, they’ve done some major shows with huge demands, like U2’s huge video screen or the feat of actually moving the audience’s seating around during the show. This seems more like a Disney ride, where the audience moves around the show as opposed to the audience remaining static. WI’s work has grown as stated in the article: “festivals, events and concert touring to theatre productions, art installations, sporting events – including London 2012 and the famous flying carpet for the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan”, and I’m glad to see that this company has been able to tackle greater and greater projects. Starting a company is a risky move, and I’m glad that they are succeeding
