DeWalt Metal Folding Sawhorse

Pro Tool Reviews: It makes sense when manufacturers innovate and improve saws, drills, nailers, or any other tool that we use on site. We want more power, lighter weight, longer runtime, this feature, and that feature. The big tool manufacturers continue to deliver those things. Then there are tools don’t come to mind as innovation candidates like the new DeWalt Metal Folding Sawhorse.

I am a big fan of innovation and I love when there is a product that just thinks of everything. But for a saw horse I think I have a different feeling. I like that there is a grove for a 2x4 and V groove for round stock, I like the folding abilities and all other aspects that are incorporated, but I kind of just want a saw horse. A cart? Id love all these features and more (a cup holder), but saw horses, for me, are such a simple little thing that you throw together than throw away, that it is not worth it to buy these high tech versions. I think Dewalt is trying to change the attitude towards saw horses and trying to move away from a one time use thing and maybe a nice saw horse is what this country needs, but for me, until I am forced to try using one, I’m happy throwing some 2x together until I have a table top.

These sawhorses are definitely pretty cool if saw horse could be called cool. The number one thing that I like about these sawhorses is the fact that they fold down as much as they do so it is both easier to store and move to where you need them. That may seem to be a trival thing but one of my major gripes with traditional sawhorses horse is that they a generally awkward to move and store. That being said the other added thought such as the v groove for working on pipe, I see as being incredibly useful. Added to that the flip up tabs that keep your project on the saw horse also I find to be incredibly useful on just about any project. In short while I find that $100 for a pair ofsawhorses to be a stiff price for sawhorses I would definitely be tempted to get these dewalt sawhorses
