Roli's Blocks are a new kind of surface for music-making
The Verge: Most people, in my experience, like music. Many people, in my experience, would like to make music. But have you ever tried to make music? It's kind of difficult! There are so many different notes, and you get one note wrong and blam now it just sounds like the cat got into the music room.

Making your own music has never been easier. After downloading the app and having a minute to play around with it I was actually having fun. It was pretty easy to use and he technology was fairly intuitive. As far as the Block add-on goes I can’t talk about that mainly because I don’t own it. After reading this article I would say that is does add to the experience of making your own beat. In no way would I call this item professional but it brings the ability of making your own music to any consumer with a smart phone. The thing that I love most about this technology is that it allows anyone the ability to make auditory art. People that have hidden talents and were never exposed to the technology to achieve music now come out of the wood work. A application like this one reminds me of YouTube sensations and how much talent came from the internet. Who knows our next hit artist might come from this very app.
