Realistic Olympic Bobsled Replica Created with Solid Printing

Signshop: Working with a tight deadline and a challenging assignment, Color Ink delivered its client realistic 1:1 scale models of Olympic bobsleds in time for the Olympics. Established in 1984, Color Ink, Inc., employs over 120 people working in 100,000+ square feet of production space in Sussex, Wisconsin. They have a well-deserved reputation as an industry leader in new technologies. Their customer base includes national as well as local accounts.

The props charge for the opera this fall used to work at a sign manufacturing company in Florida, he was telling some of us about how a subset of their business was crafting and forming all of the fiberglass figures in universal parks and other parks there. Its interesting how these fabrication companies can be multipurposed for other things.

In addition, I saw "solid printing" in the title of the article, i assumed they meant that they made a 3D printed bob sled, which would have also been cool, but i had no idea that people were really doing printing on to 3-dimensional objects like they, thats awesome.
