Lights! Glamour! Action! crowd throngs to Heinz Field

TribLIVE: “I'm replicating the Oscar!” joked Lea Guarino of her gold ensemble. “No, I really didn't plan it that way.”
Coincidental fashion statements aside, the Pittsburgh Film Office was expecting a crush of 940 guests for Lights! Glamour! Action!

I think it's really nice to see the film industry growing here in Pittsburgh and around all of the smaller cities. New York used to be the home to film, and Hollywood was just an escape from the oppression of the film industry. And now that 5 or so major studios run film, it's great to see places like Pittsburgh and Boston (and Miami) getting their own studios. These places, I predict will allow for the creation of non-mainstream material that will be sucesses, because they are spawned by the success of the film empire, but are not physically close to it. I know these studios also bring much needed jobs and culture to the smaller cities, and I hope I can use my Pittsburgh and Boston connections to get a job or two there.

This is really cute. So many people around the world love to watch the Oscars and throw Oscar parties, but almost no one can actually attend this amazing event. Its fun that Pittsburgh throws out a red carpet and has an awards party of their one. so much is being filmed in pittsburgh these days, the movie industry has a much stronger connection to Pittsburgh than to most other cities. Maybe one day the Oscars will come to Pittsburgh!...JK that will never happen, but Pittsburghers can still dream and have their own fabulous Oscar parties.

Oscars are really universal and people all around the country and world love to tune into the event. There is just so much excitement, for all of these people are use to viewing these movies together. Light, camera, glamour sounds like a fun evening for Pittsburgh residence. Fun night to dress like the celebrities and celebrate achievements in film and video. Movies are being filmed all around the world these days and while Hollywood is still the main supplier of film, there are many other locations that produce amazing films.
