MORE THAN SKIN DEEP
New York Post: "WHEN Daniel Radcliffe made his stage debut in 'Equus' last year in London, all the press could talk about was his nude scene. That didn't bother the producers, who were happy to tally up ticket sales. But it sure as hell annoyed the playwright, Peter Shaffer."

As much as the "wand" publicity must bother Shaffer, it's got to both Radcliffe just as much. Out of all I've heard about Equus on Broadway, very little has actually mentioned Radcliffe's performance. It's just ridiculous that the press can't get over a nude scene because of the celebrity's name attached to it. In fact, a lot of the articles I've been have simply mentioned the actor's penis size and had a synopsis of the play more than anything else...
That being said, if I'll probably go see it. I love that show (not so much a fan of Radcliffe, but I want to see if he'll deliver). That, and I kind of half expect him to fail. (morbid curiosity?)
