Carnegie Science Center unveils expansion plans

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "The Carnegie Science Center is planning to expand by 80,000 square feet, build a new sports science exhibition building and create an outdoor 'eco park' in the next 10 years."

while this is a VERY exciting thing, that the science center is expanding, I am very sad that they are closing the SportsWorks, even for a year. Last year, I only made it to the Science Center once, and it was at night so SportsWorks wasn't open. :-( It is such a cool place with lots of virtual reality sports simulations. And the actual museum is great too. I hope I am around for the new changes.

A new Sports Science addition does sound pretty cool what stuck out to me in this article was a parking lot with a semi-permeable surface that can let water through? Thats interesting.
