Broadway Ready For Its Bow

NPR: "September is the traditional start of the new Broadway season, and with high fuel prices, a weakish dollar and a general economic downturn, you might expect people in the industry to be skittish about future prospects."

I was quite excited to learn of the sickeningly commercial production of Godspell being brought to a halt and being replaced by Speed the Plow, however, I later learned that it too stared actors from television and other media. I feel that this is sadly a trend that will continue on Broadway.
