This is such a sad and terrible article to read. While uplifting to read in some ways, seeing the impacts of COVID on entertainment workers is so sad and horrible to read. We are very lucky to be in school right now not all having to worry about how we are going to get dinner on our tables, but many of these people had to completely shift career paths in order to just stay afloat. It is very uplifting to see how many people the Broadway Fund was able to help. They delivered $19 million dollars to 15,000 people which is pretty substantial, but I’m sure still not enough to help a lot of these people. I’m really glad that we are having positive results with the vaccine, so that we can begin to reopen and have the majority of these people start getting back to work because we all need it so much. I’m hoping that the entertainment industry can come back better than ever.
