I think this is such an amazing festival. Although out high school I worked at a children's theater company where I stage managed and then directed their shows, and ran theater camps for elementary students in the summer. I know first hand the effect that theater and the community that theater gives young kids, I think that a festival to bring all these kids together is such a good thing. I have never heard of this before reading the article, but hearing that this is the 30th time the festival is happening is really amazing to see that it has been going on for so long. I really hope it is a supportive and fun way for kids who enjoy theater to meet other kids and see performances. I hope that this event is big and draws in people from outside of Pittsburgh too.

I have always enjoyed theatre for children. Having worked in a Children's Theater through high school, I appreciate what theatre does for younger generations; Exposes them to something other than their phones, television sets, and computers. Festivals like this one are so great to have for the community and brings kids and families closer together through a common interest, THEATRE! I really love the fact that the festival hosts sensory- friendly productions. The Children's theatre I worked at did the same thing. I can't fully explain the joy it brings me to make theatre and performing art accessible to children who might not always be used to such spectacle and by making some minor adjustments, they too can gain appreciation and love for theatre. I'm actually looking forward to this event and would really love to attend. I would like to meet with the companies involved and find out about opportunities in helping bring theatre to kids everywhere.
