This sounds like some fun friendly competition. I initially thought the theatres would be in competition somehow, but I wasn’t sure how that would work. You wouldn’t normally expect to see “theatre geeks” engaging in making bets on a sports competition, so that is sort of fun plot twist in this contest, changing up the subject matter that these theatre staffs are used to. I like the idea of theatres from across the nation engaging with each other, even if it is something silly like this. I think the requirement that the losing theatre must incorporate the winning theatre’s logo into an upcoming scenic design is a very creative idea and I’d be interested to see how that works out. The last bit about the Vortex in Austin is what I find most interesting. The contrast between the Super Bowl and fairies is fun, and I like that they are hosting competitions in real time. It’s a cool twist on the usual superbowl party.
