An Unusual Customizable Tool Vest
Tools of the Trade: Last week I was at a tool industry tradeshow waiting for the exhibition hall to open when I happened upon a guy wearing a cool-looking tool vest. It was made from some kind of mesh and had a couple of chest pockets plus a pair of side pouches crammed full of tools.

(Sorry @ David/grads reading this: The articles this year are depressing and I didn’t want to read them anymore)
This vest is so neat!! It is honestly really admirable that Michael Frank recognized a problem he was having and developed a product to fix it. That is how a lot of really cool things get started. Anyway, I definitely think that this could aid a lot of trade workers who have to carry a lot of tools around with them. I have personally never run into a situation where I needed something like this, but I mean you really can’t go wrong with distributing a load across your upper body. That’s why they make backpacks with front-close clips, because backpacks are freaking uncomfortable. I also think the use of a breathable synthetic mesh is a very good idea. Working is an easy way to build up heat. The goal of this product is comfort, and I think temperature regulation was a good comfort point to hit on his part. It looks like his company is still up and running with relatively the same prices. Definitely a solid investment if you want to take care of your body long term.
