A Contractor Takes His Tools to Hollywood
Tools of the Trade: Joseph Christman is a design build contractor in the Los Angeles area who specializes in finish carpentry and millwork installation. The video below was shot near a project he did in Hollywood. But it could have been anywhere, what matters is it was a congested area and he had to park blocks from the job and haul tools by hand. That might not have been possible at some other stage of the job but it worked that day because Christman was installing hardware and his tools and supplies are efficiently stowed in modular boxes.

this is an incredibly impressive mobile unit. I like what he has done with the systainers but it reinforces my pre-existing opinion that systainers are incredibly lacking. Yes he made them work to what he wanted and needed from it but I feel that such a glorified system should be more versatile already. I do like the air compressor solution that he has created with his nail guns. Frequently the need for air in mobile scenarios is hard to overcome but I like this answer. The most impressive part of this video in my opinion is his Van set up and how he has organized everything he may or may not need on site. Specifically the use of floor space to store long units like his festool tracks. My main question is does he have an easy way to roll the festool cainters into the van or does he have to unsnap and unload into and out of the van everytime
