J-O-B Production Supervisor



Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), an internationally recognized presenter of contemporary performing arts and cinema, seeks a full-time Production Supervisor who will play a key role in supervising and hands-on running all technical aspects of BAM presentations, productions, rentals and special events. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager.  This position begins July 2013.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage events and shows throughout BAM on our mainstages, in our café and throughout the BAM campus
  • Perform advance work for productions including technical and budget analysis, arrangement of equipment rentals and detailing and scheduling of technical staff and stagehands
  • Work with artists, musicians, BAM general management staff, union stagehands, wardrobe personnel, and stage managers to present the highest quality shows and events
  • Production Stage Manage auxiliary events
  • Provide day to day management of long run productions
  • Other duties as assigned
