TAIT delivers moving projection ceiling to Eros Ramazotti's 2013 European Tour

Live Design Magazine [primary-term] press release archives: April 10, 2013: Italian singer-songwriter Eros Ramazotti opened his 2013 European tour in Italy last month, with TAIT helping to bring his spectacular set design to life. Set and Lighting designer Jvan Morandi worked with Ramazotti on the ‘NOI World Tour’, which will travel throughout Europe over the coming months. The design concept was made of three separate influences which are woven together during the show.

Wow, this sounds like such a neat project. I really wish the article came with a video like some do so that we could really see it all in action. It didn't occur to me until a few years ago that design like we do could cary over to music concerts and since then I think I would have a lot of fun and enjoy the challenge of getting to design based of a musical story rather than one with your typical script.
I think they did an amazing job on this particular design and I especially think that it is cool that they were able to incorporate aspects of his childhood and home town into the designs.
Aside from that, the fact that they were able to successfully pull something like this off is seriously impressive. The amount of man hours I'm sure was just crazy, but it seems worth it to get accomplish a set design of this magnitude and specter.

The photo in the article looks really cool and I would love to have seen a video of some of the effects. I love how in depth the article goes when explaining how the show was put together. This sort of connection between media and sets is really important and I think needed for a show with media to look good. I would enjoy reading another article about how the set and media teams worked together. This show makes the production at on it's own and that is something to work towards.
