What fascinating challenges, both the attempt of British and German theatremakers constructing one-to-one interactions around the dinner table and presenting a microcosm of American culture (in 2 weeks, no less), but also for this research assistant to help them in seeing beyond the tourism and into the real heart of Los Angeles. I can see why they would desperately need someone who has been out of school for a year, local and knowledgable about the LA area, although I wonder how much of the show will be colored by purely sitting in Los Angeles - is this company planning on touring to other cities and theatres? And would they (probably) hire another assistant in those cities to learn that culture as well and incorporate it? A fascinating challenge of a show.
