IMDb wins age-reveal lawsuit

MSN Movies News: The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has emerged victorious in its long-running legal battle with actress Huong "Junie" Hoang, who sued the company for revealing her age.
A jury found in favor of the company in U.S. District Court in Washington on Thursday, bringing an end to the suit, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.

This seems like a battle of he-said, she-said. Junie says that IMDB ruined her career by publishing her age. IMDB insists that Junie lied on two previous occasions about her age. The truth of the matter is that Junie supplied her credit card information for the company. If you give your credit card info to someone they immediately have access to all of your information including your address, your phone number, your age, etc. All of this information is also a matter of public record. If someone really wanted to get the info, all they would have to do would be to look through birth records.

If she didn't want her age to be revealed, then she shouldn't have lied to the database in the first place. Giving multiple birth dates will obviously cause a speculation that will be inspected and they can't be blamed for trying to figure the whole thing out. She seems ignorant for not wanting her age to be revealed even though she lied and gave two different birth dates. She's at fault and definitely did not deserve to win this case.
